Matt Hawthorne Photography Baker Hotel Mineral Wells Fashion Photo Shoot
I love photography and photo shoots are always fun. Check out this photo session by photographer Matt Hawthorne featuring Alex from Wallflower Management in Dallas. The shoot location was at the famous Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas. I love places with so much history.

Fortune Cookie
I know it's late, but for some reason my brother and I wanted some Chinese food. I guess we weren't satisfied with our dinner so we decided to indulge in something that wouldn't really be considered a healthy choice. We had to hurry, since the nearest Panda Express closed at 10:30 PM. We both opted for steamed rice and double entrees of orange chicken...yumm. There's this overwhelming satisfaction you get from eating Chinese food or any comfort food for the matter. Although the after effects of being overly full and a feeling of being bloated, is definitely something I could do without.
With Chinese food, no matter how full are, you still have to eat the fortune cookie. It's like a tradition. It's something you have to do. I'm not sure how this fortune cookie thing came about (maybe I'll do some research on it). I have a process I go through: Step 1 - Break the cookie in half and separate it. The fortune should still be stuck in one half of the cookie. Step 2 - Eat the empty half of the cookie. Step 3 - Pull the fortune out of the other half and read it. Step 4 - Eat the remaining half of the cookie so your good fortune will come true.
I opened my fortune cookie up and did my usual routine. This is what my fortune said, "YOU WILL SOON FIND NEW ADVENTURE IN LIFE."
Hhmmm. It's strange how a little piece of paper in a cookie can speak the truth. I actually believe this. Or maybe I want to believe this. Maybe I'm about to partake on an adventure. Maybe I'm at the beginning of one right now, this minute.
Oh well, whatever the adventure is......I'm ready.
